WAR MUSEUM, SAN MARTINO
Edoardo Zagonel, author together with Fiorenzo Simion of the book “Stories and Memories of the First World War in Primiero”, has opened to the public his collection of artifacts and photographs gathered in the area of the Pale di San Martino and Lagorai.
Edoardo Zagonel, born in San Martino di Castrozza on March 13, 1930, is an Alpine Guide of the Aquile di San Martino Group, a member of the Alpine Rescue, and an Alpine Ski Instructor. Always a great enthusiast of world conflicts, he has collected thousands of objects of historical interest by traveling far and wide across the mountains of the area.
The private collection can be visited every day (from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm) upon checking availability by contacting Mr. Edoardo directly.

PERMANENT EXHIBITION OF THE GREAT WAR ON THE LAGORAI, CAORIA
Open from June 29 to September 7 every day 2:30 pm-6:30 pm; at other times by reservation.
The museum, founded in 1991, preserves documents from the Great War fought in the mountains of the Lagorai area, equipment from the Italian and Austro-Hungarian armies, and testimonies of the evacuation of the civilian population displaced or interned in Austria and Italy. A reconstruction with armored shields and sandbags reproduces a military post.
Managed by the Alpini group of Caoria, in collaboration with the Vanoi Ecomuseum, it offers themed meetings on the historical events related to the conflict.
